Short answer

Compare offers over the same time horizon and assumptions: net cash, savings, conditional components and benefits. Only then assess the total gap and risk.

01

Normalize first, compare second

A monthly offer and an annual offer can look different even when their economic value is similar.

Same period

Convert base, bonus, equity and benefits to one year. Do not place an entire multi-year grant into year one.

Same tax assumptions

Use the same tax credits, contribution rates and tax assumptions. Otherwise the gap may come from the model rather than the offer.

Same certainty level

Separate guaranteed salary from target bonus, conditional grants and future share value. Conditional value is not equivalent to base pay.

02

The right decision table

A useful comparison presents several separate answers rather than one score that hides the differences.

Cash

Estimated monthly and annual net, including bonus only under an explicitly stated probability and timing.

Savings

Pension, severance and education fund using each offer's contribution base and rate.

Flexibility and risk

Vacation, work model, vesting conditions and conditional components remain visible rather than disappearing into one total.

Before drawing a conclusion

Practical checklist

  1. Use the same 12-month horizon for both offers.
  2. Separate guaranteed value from conditional or market-dependent value.
  3. Compare both net cash and long-term savings.
  4. Keep working conditions outside the financial total but inside the decision.

Frequently asked questions

Which number should lead the comparison?

Usually start with annual net cash, then add savings, variable compensation and benefits separately. No single number fits every decision.

Can the comparison be shared?

Yes, only after an explicit action. Neto passes a text summary to the device share sheet or clipboard and does not create a public salary link.
